• Bingo's Successful History

For over 5 centuries ago Bingo came to existence. We trace back Bingo's history it started way back in Italy in the year 1530. Bingo was not yet it's name but it is well known as "Lo Giuoco Code Lotto" or "lottery" for you and me.

It begun its maturity in France in the 1700 where players of Bingo added tokens, playing cards and the famous reading of numbers. It was in the 1800 where the game Bingo came to Germany and became popular there as well. But, unlike in Italy and France, Bingo is used in Germany to educate children. it involves teaching proper spelling, learn the multiplication table and to name animals. And this how Bingo became to be in existence in history.

Bingo in America first prosper in a carnival in the year 1929 in the state of Atlanta Georgia. Locals here played Bingo with the used of rubber stamp, dried beans and sheets of cardboard.

It was Edwin Lowe who noticed how people of this town of Atlanta Georgia were fascinated with Bingo. It reached to the point where the stuff of the Carnival had to kick people out when it came at 3:00 in the morning.

Edwin Lowe along with his idea flew then to New York. This is where Lowe introduced the interesting game of Bingo to his friends and comrades. He taught his friends how to play Bingo with the use of rubber stamps, which is numbered and read out loud, and the use of dried beans and cardboard. To Lowe's delight his friends appreciated and loved the game.

One day while Lowe is playing with his friends, one of his friend yelled the word "Bingo" while in excitement that he won. This word is yelled instead of the word "Beano".

This is the era where Edwin Lowe begun 2 versions of Bingo game. The first Bingo version is a set with 12-cards played for $1.00. The second version is a 24-card with the amount of $2.00. This is the beginning of a wild success of Bingo game.

It was a successful year in 1940 were Bingo were known all over the world. Although by this time, Edwin Lowe had many competitors. This is also the formal birth of the name "Bingo".

As we speak Bingo came a long way from Italy to France and to New York. From all over the world, there are about 60 million Bingo players and still counting. In North America alone, there are about 50,000 Bingo Halls and more than 50,000 in the United Kingdom.

In the modern world, Bingo staff now used electronic equipment to ease gaming experience for players. Bingo keeps on growing and improving up to this date.
